Anyone who knows me understands I have been on almost every diet and used a gazillion supplement combinations for every fad. Be it Paleo, Keto, Vegan, Vegetarian, Carnivore, and maybe some others. So far, in 2023, I am almost strictly a carnivore.

My diet mainly consists of meat from ruminants such as cows, bison, sheep, and goats. However, I do have a little bacon or seafood here or there once a week. I also eat eggs and would love some wild game if I could get my hands on it. The other main category is raw or A2 dairy, mainly in the form of butter, raw cheese, and kefir.

The only condiments I have been using are salt and some of the Primal Kitchen sauces, mainly Spicy Ketchup, Buffalo, and Hawaiin BBQ. I also plan on trying their cocktail sauce with some shrimp soon.

The only supplement I am taking is LMNT for keeping my electrolytes in check. They also have a couple of chocolate flavors that are helping me get off coffee and caffeine. So I’m down to one cup a day instead of four to six.

Most of my eating is in an 8-hour window between 8 am and 4 pm. Many times I have already eaten dinner by 2 pm. And just to disgust some of you, if I get really snacky in the evening, I’ll have a tablespoon of butter or a scoop of leftover fat from the pan collected during the days cooking.

So what does my average day look like?

  • Breakfast - Cup of coffee with heavy creme, 1/2lb of some meat, six eggs cooked in a tablespoon or two of butter, and a glass of kefir. The meat will be seasoned with salt or one of the abovementioned sauces.
  • Between meals - LMNT drink to replace a cup of coffee.
  • Lunch/Dinner - 1lb of meat again with the above mention sauces and cooked in about 1-2 tbsp of butter.
  • Evening - LMNT drink to relax, most likely hot and chocolatey. I usually add creme to this.

Eating this way keeps me pretty satiated. I haven’t had any aches or pains for a while now, other than the accidental injury I may have while exercising; I blew out my calf yesterday. The acid reflux I have had for decades isn’t around, and my sleep has improved, leading to an all-around improved mood.

So to summarize, this is pretty much a pure carnivore diet minus the sauces from Primal Kitchen. I don’t eat any fruit or vegetables. I’ve been using an app called Cronometer to track my macros and nutrition, and everything is pretty much maxed out every day, which leads me to believe supplementation really isn’t necessary. I think I will be eating like this into the foreseeable future. In a month or two, I will get some bloodwork done to see where my health markers are at.
