Why MicroBlog?
I’ve played with a lot of platforms and started multiple blogs, but I keep coming back to MicroBlog. Why you may ask? I’ve been pondering that and came up with a few clear reasons.
MicroBlog has so many features, I’ll name the ones important to me. * Cross Posting to Mastodon, Threads, BlueSky, and Nostr. * It’s also its own activity pub instance an could replace Mastodon if you wish. * Helps me create a photo gallery * Manage and share my reading. * Bookmarks * It has a built-in encrypted notebook * Produces a newsletter for me. * And if I had the gumption, I could host a podcast on it. * Plus the basics.. pages, categories, static pages..etc
Not to mention the fact it’s my blog itself. But there are a few things it could use. It has a small theme selection, though, if you’re handy with code, you can customize to your liking. I myself am a little lazy and lack the time, so I make do with what’s there by default. I guess that is just one thing.
In the end, I really do love MicroBlog, and until I can design something as good on my own, I don’t see myself leaving. I may stop all together, but when I come back it’s usually here.
Cheers!
The Mighty first Blog Post!!!!!!!!
The first mighty blog post!! If you are reading this, then there most likely are no other posts here presently, but do not fret! There will be more in time. I have just been putting everything together to my liking with minimal confusion, hopefully.
This was originally going to be three different sites, a blog, my toots (tweets or whatever you want to call them), and a photo blog. But I soon realized that was a confusing pain in the behind. No way was I going to be able to keep all that straight. I would end up posting something in the wrong place eventually. To damn confusing.
So, we have this place. This grand alter to my laziness and lack of imagination. Here you will most likely be bored on just one site instead of being bored on three sites; for I have made your life that much more efficient.
I’m assuming I will be adding a “Now” and “Uses” page eventually; plus all the other trendy pages people have on their websites and digital gardens. But until then, you are stuck with just this post, a couple of pictures, and a bunch of my babbling on the micro posts page, such is life.
Peace be upon you, live long and prosper, and Nanu Nanu.
