Thoughts on Ukraine and Escalation

I'm thinking about war this morning, specifically Russia and Ukraine. Many people seem to write off the nuclear possibilities, I don't think they have a clue. Do people really want to push someone with more than enough capability to use it? I really don't get it.

Don't get me wrong, I feel for the Ukrainian people, I really do. But at some point peace must be made. I feel they really have no way of winning without being artificially pumped up by foreign powers like us in the United States. What we seem to be doing is just facilitating much more death and suffering. As of now, I don't see the point.

Those of my fellow Americans who feel this is a fight for Democracy and Putin is 100% in the wrong, then maybe we should offer him and maybe China to build bases or biological factories on the US/Mexican border. We wouldn't mind, right? It seems Putin is a little bit in the same spot. Whether he is an ass or not, I can see the Russian point of view about NATO expansion and weapons factories on their borders.

In the end, I think it's time to make peace, some sort of concessions to make both sides content and end this. At this point, continuing to escalate is no good for any of us, Ukrainian or not.
